Common questions
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through Apple. Open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Meta Caddie on your iPhone, then tap Cancel Subscription. Your access continues through the end of the current billing period.
My Apple Watch isn't detecting swings.
Three things to check, in order:
- Open Meta Caddie on the watch first. Detection needs the watch app in the foreground to record motion. Tap the app face on your watch before teeing off.
- Re-run your range session. Settings → Apple Watch → Range Session. This rebuilds your personal detection profile from real swings — what onboarding does, but you can re-run it any time your swing changes.
- Confirm your watch wrist is set correctly. Settings → Apple Watch → Watch Wrist must match the wrist you're playing with.
If detection is still off after all three, email us — we have a "swing trace export" mode (Developer Mode in Settings) that lets us debug your specific motion signature.
My round didn't save.
Round data is stored locally first (so a flaky course wifi doesn't lose your card) and syncs to the cloud when the app reaches a connection. If a round looks missing after you get home, force a sync from Settings → Apple Watch → Force Sync and check again. If it still doesn't show up, email us with the date and course — we can recover from the local backup on your device.
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Delete Account. A two-step confirmation in the app; on completion we remove your profile, round history, watch calibration, accepted rules, group/league/tournament memberships, and your Sign in with Apple link from Supabase. The deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. If the in-app flow ever fails, email privacy@1putthealth.com with the subject line "Delete my account" and we'll complete it manually.
Where do I report a bug?
Two paths:
- Email us at hello@metacaddie.app with what happened, what you expected, and (if you can) a screenshot. Include the round date and hole number if it's a round-time bug.
- GitHub issues: github.com/1Putt-Health/meta-caddie/issues — for technical users who want to track the fix publicly.
What happens during the first 10 rounds?
Meta Caddie's swing detection learns from your real play. After your onboarding range session, the first 10 rounds you complete silently refine your per-club detection thresholds — so by round 10 the engine is calibrated to your actual swing, not a generic baseline. Settings → Apple Watch shows your progress as Training N/10 until you're fully trained. Nothing about this changes how you play; it just gets more accurate over time.
